Kari-Anne Lyng has an M.Sc in mechanical engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), specialising in life cycle assessments and environmentally correct product development. During her studies, she spent an exchange year at INSA Toulouse in France.
Before she came to Ostfold Research, she worked as a project planner and writer of applications to the EU’s frame programme for research and development, and as a consultant in product development and machine design.
Kari-Anne’s work in Ostfold Research includes carrying out life cycle assessments of products and services and climate accounting for businesses.
Her leisure time is mainly spent with family and friends. Kari-Anne is also very fond of being by the sea, either at Lyngør or in her sailing boat on the Oslofjord.
