Hanne graduated from the University of Copenhagen (the Faculty of Life Sciences) in 1990, having done two years of her teaching practice at the University of Life Sciences (UMB). She has worked in Ostfold Research since 1992, first with life cycle assessments and food products, and then mainly with the optimising of packaging. Hanne is concerned that environmental improvements should be publicised, thus inspiring others to carry out improvements as well.
When Hanne is not working for Ostfold Research, she is generally at her farm, where she and her family breed horses and hire out the farm for courses and conferences.
